Real Madrid: Viktor Orbán congratulated Florentino Pérez for his reelection

I am very pleased that under your leadership we have succeeded in helping to preserve the memory of our common hero Ferenc Puskás and to strengthen Hungarian and Spanish football relations. I am proud that it has been 10 years since the RealTanoda program was first established in Hungary at the Puskás Akadémia in Hungary, which has been providing opportunities for Hungarian youngsters to play face-to-face with real Madrid's top age groups in the Puskás-Suzuki Cup. I hope that we will be able to take our successful cooperation to new heights in the period ahead.

Florentino Pérez was elected president on Tuesday for another four years, with no other candidates. It is the second term for the 74-year-old businessman at the helm of Real Madrid. He first commanded the royal club from 2000 to 2006 and has been “el presidente” again since 2009.

With Pérez as president, Real Madrid's football team has won a total of 26 trophies, won five national leagues, and became Champions League gold medalists five times.

Florentino Pérez unveiled the statue of Ferenc Puskas at the main entrance of real Madrid's training center in 2013.
