At the post-match press conference, Ferencváros' head coach, Stanislav Cherchesov, remained moderate after the defeat of Monaco.

– You were not just talking to the wind when it came to confidence. How big is this success?
– We played well, we won 1-0, but what we have achieved so far is nothing. All we have done is get three important points tonight. We have six points, but we can collect many more in the group – said FTC head coach Stanislav Cherchesov at the press conference after the win over Monaco.

Is the victory against Trabzonspor last week with ten players or is this the bigger one?
– I don't think about the win against the Turkish champions anymore. For me, that is history. In fact, the ninety minutes against Monaco is somewhat history, too, because it's already over. For me, the days before the game and the match itself are full of real work. As I said, with the two successes overall, we took a step forward, and that's all that happened.

The team is top of the group with six points after two rounds. How far can the momentum carry Ferencváros?
– We look forward to the next match. We'll have a plan for that too, I've been thinking about it since Friday. Our defenders got depleted, we're short at the back, and we've got a lot of injured footballers. Therefore, it's difficult to prepare, but we'll find a solution. We'll do our job and see how far we can go with it. In Monaco, we felt like we were playing at home, it was amazing to see so many Fradi fans at the away match.
