As our readers are used to it, we summarize last week's performance of Hungarian players in foreign clubs. Take a look at what happened to the Hungarian footballers this past week.

Attila Szalai scored the winning goal in the 91st minute in the Turkish top-flight match between Kasımpaşa and Fenerbahçe. In a situation following a corner kick, the ball got in front of the Hungarian defender close to the penalty mark, and he did not hesitate; he shot straight into the net, winning the match for his team.

Roland Sallai kicked Freiburg to the semifinals in the 120th minute in the German Cup. The home team gave the Hungarian striker, who was a substitute, a leave which then decided the match.

Though not at the end of the game, Dániel Gazdag of the Philadelphia Union also scored the winning goal. After receiving a pass from Julián Carranza on the left, he fired the ball into the bottom left corner of the net between two defenders.

To qualify for the Champions League, RB Leipzig and Freiburg fought each other in crucial league match, in which four Hungarian footballers were playing. The game ended with a 1-1 draw. Both Péter Gulácsi and Orbán Willi were starters while Roland Sallai and Dominik Szoboszlai came on in the 79th minute. The latter became the "hero" for providing an assist for Angelino.

SZOBOSZLAI'S ASSIST

Two Hungarian national team footballers had a bad luck on Saturday. Ákos Kecskés (Nizhny Novgorod) got a red card in the Russian league operating undisturbed in the shadow of the war against Ukraine. In addition, Vinícius Paulo (APOEL) got injured in the play-offs in Cyprus.
