Roland Sallai kicked Freiburg to the semifinals in the 120th minute in the German Cup. The home team gave the Hungarian striker, who was a substitute, a leave which then decided the match.
Though not at the end of the game, Dániel Gazdag of the Philadelphia Union also scored the winning goal. After receiving a pass from Julián Carranza on the left, he fired the ball into the bottom left corner of the net between two defenders.
To qualify for the Champions League, RB Leipzig and Freiburg fought each other in crucial league match, in which four Hungarian footballers were playing. The game ended with a 1-1 draw.
