A listát böngészve feltűnik, hogy csupán egy Manchester United-játékos tagja a keretnek, a „vörös ördögöktől” Michael Carrick kapott behívót. Hiányzik a szokott csapatból Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney, Wes Brown, Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, Emile Heskey, David Beckham és Michael Owen is.
