According to concordant German press reports, Gábor Király could succeed the sacked goalkeeping coach of Hertha BSC, Zsolt Petry.

Bild and sport.de report that the former goalkeeper who played for the Berlin club between 1997 and 2004 is one of the candidates for the goalkeeping coach position at Hertha. The football player capped 108 times for Hungary retired as a player two years ago and has since been running his own sports club in Szombathely, Hungary. In Berlin, he was a teammate of Pál Dárdai who is the club's current head coach.

As known, the German club parted ways with Petry after giving Magyar Nemzet an interview in which he touched on a number of public issues.

Nemzeti Sport has also heard that Király could be Hertha's new goalkeeping coach, but there are several other candidates to choose from.
