Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó has opened the Puskás Day held at the Hungarian Pavilion of the Dubai World Expo – event organizer Expo 2020 Hungary's announcement writes. The sports professional day, which attracts many foreign guests, was created with the help of the Puskás Foundation and The Path Sports Management. Its main goal was to show Hungary's commitment to the developments and investments that make the country a world-famous sports venue and Budapest the sports capital.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to present Hungary's role in international sports, the success of sports-related university courses, and unique national initiatives embracing sports innovations, including the world-conquering Hungarian-invented sport, teqball. As part of the conference, sports presentations and panel discussions took place in the dome hall of the Pavilion. Then György Szöllősi, Ambassador of Puskás Affairs, editor-in-chief of Nemzeti Sport, announced the formation of the FIFA Puskás Award Winner's Club in a video message.

The majority of the thirteen winners of the global award for Goal of the Year since 2009 have already indicated their intention to join the exclusive club, whose goal is to keep Ferenc Puskás' memory green and fight Alzheimer's disease. The event featured a video message from seven Puskás Award winners, including Son Heung Min of South Korea (Tottenham), Olivier Giroud of France (AC Milan), and retired Hamit Altintop of Turkey, as well as a statement of support from Arsene Wenger, the FIFA Chief of Global Football Development, the communication writes.

The main patron of the event was MLSZ President and FIFA Vice President Sándor Csányi.

The Hungarian Pavilion is still popular, with more than 650,000 visitors already crossing its doorstep.

The Puskás Award-winning club is preparing for new promotions and events. Next time, the Puskás Akadémia will organize the Puskás-Suzuki Cup on the day of Pentecost.
